280 Series "Popular Steel" and 288 Series "Popular Insulated" SPECIFICATIONS: 281 and 288 Series
Sections: The four or five sections in a door each measure 1-7/8" thick and are embossed from roll-formed hot-dipped galvanized steel. Closed box end stiles. Section heights are
16-3/4" (281 Series ONLY), 19" and 20-7/8" as required for various heights. Sections are coated on both sides with a baked-on primer and white, brown, almond or sandstone polyester top
coat. The bottom section includes a retainer bar with a full length gray PVC bulb-shaped weatherseal. All sections are solid. Hardware and Track: Vertical and horizontal tracks are 2"
hot-dipped galvanized steel with bolt-on headplates. The horizontals include a 12" standard radius. Standard hardware is hot-dipped galvanized steel with self-lubricating nylon rollers.
Springs: Torsion springs available on all widths. Contact your local distributor for details. Struts: One (1) 2-1/4" reinforcing steel strut
is provided on doors 14 foot wide and over. Three (3) 2-1/4" struts are provided on 18' wide doors and wider. Headroom: A minimum of 12" headroom is required with the 12"
radius track. Allow an extra 3" if a door operator will be used. 288 Series Popular Insulated (ONLY) Sections: The four or five sections in a door each measure 1-7/8" thick and are embossed
from roll-formed hot-dipped galvanized steel and insulated with nominal 1/2" of polystyrene insulation laminated to a white HIPS textured backcover. End stiles are formed with the sections, with
